Today we will analyze the trajectory of the player from Córdoba, one of the most relevant and well-known figures in the sport.

Biography of Juan Tello

Juan Tello was born in the town of Cruz del Eje, Córdoba, in Argentina on February 1, 1995.

From a very young age, he was interested in practicing the sport, which is why he began his development in the various lower categories in Argentina. After surpassing the Sub18 categories as one of the best in his home country, that’s when his journey began alongside Fede Chingotto.

The pair began to stand out on the World Padel Tour in 2016. That year, at just 21 and 19 years old respectively, they managed to appear in the main draw of the Alicante Open and the Montecarlo Open, later becoming a well-known pair as young promises on the WPT circuit, especially in 2017 when they qualified for the round of 16 in the Alicante Open, where they were eliminated by Paquito Navarro and Sanyo Gutierrez.

After their historic appearance, they increasingly became common names in the final rounds of tournaments. In 2017, when they entered the Valladolid Open, they reached the semifinals for the first time, a feat they would repeat at that year’s Alicante Open.

In 2020 they won their first tournament, in the Las Rozas Open after the final they would play against Paquito Navarro and Pablo Lima did not take place, as Lima had to withdraw from the final draw due to an injury, thus Tello and Chingotto received their first title of the World Padel Tour.

After a 7-year partnership that became one of the most beloved and well-known pairs on the circuit, in 2022 the “Cat” and the “Mouse” decide to end their journey as partners, seeking new paths separately.

It is during this brief period of time that Tello joins forces with Paquito Navarro. Alongside the Andalusian, who had recently ended his stint alongside Martin Di Nenno, he manages to win his second professional tournament, being crowned in that year’s Mexico Open.

However, after a brief period of time, unfortunately, the pair does not see the expected results, so after a very short adventure, they choose to go their separate ways, allowing Navarro to return to playing in his natural backhand position for the new season.

Thus begins a new adventure alongside Malagueño Alex Ruiz, a pair that more than consistent also gives him the necessary security to apply more speed to his game and allow him to explore new positions on the court, something that has allowed him to renew his technique.

The pair has obtained very positive results in their first tournaments, where they have managed to get into the final rounds with quite regularity, enough for it to be thought that in the future they may win more than one title along the way.
