His passion for padel began at a very young age and at only 17 years old he managed to become champion in professional categories.

Just two years later he manages to be number one in one of the most important competitions in his country, the professional circuit of Argentina. Some time later he decides to continue growing in his professional career so he travels to Spain to be able to play on the World Padel Tour together with Marcello Jardim .

Together they managed to stay in very good positions, reaching the quarterfinals for the first time. However, he would immediately change his partner, this time with Juan Martín Diaz , one of the best players in the entire World Padel Tour who managed to stay number one for 13 years.

However, a few months later he suffered a leg injury that prevented him from playing for four months. Upon returning, Fernando Belasteguin becomes his new partner , here he manages to achieve the Madrid Master 2019 with his partner, thus taking his first official title, being one of the youngest to achieve this.

The beginnings in the World Padel Tour

After making the decision to travel to Spain, he started playing on the World Padel Tour at just 19 years old . When you start competing you have the opportunity to play with some of the best padel players, such as Fernando Belasteguin . Although they manage to win some titles and get two final masters , they decide to separate their paths a year later.

This year, Tapia marks one of the best in the player’s entire career since he was named MVP (Most Valuable Player) at the Estrella Damm de las Rozas Open 2021 . Another title that was given to him was the Elias Estrella Trophy for the revelation player of the World Padel Tour since the player managed to position himself as one of the best in a very short time.

At the beginning of 2021, he announced that his new partner would be Pablo Lima with whom he would manage to climb positions in the World Padel Tour couples ranking. Together they would achieve titles such as the Estrella Damm Las Rozas Open 2021, beating his old teammate Fernando Belasteguin and Sanyo Gutierrez.

This would not be their only victory as they would also get their last victory at the Cervezas Victoria Málaga Open 2021, beating two of the best, Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno. After some very good results, he decides to separate from Lima. His next partner to date would be Sanyo Gutiérrez .

Together they have managed to achieve three victories together, among them we find the 2021 Areco Malmö Padel Open, managing to win against Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno. Another very important victory for the player was the Estrella Damm Reus Costa Daurada Open 2022, against Ale Galán and Juan Lebrón. All these victories have positioned him, together with his partner, at number 3 in the World Padel Tour couples ranking.

2022 points to another good year for the player who has already managed to accumulate two victories, the last in the Danish Padel Open 2022. Although the player has not been able to attend the World Cup in Qatar, we can continue to see him among the best positions in the following competitions.
