This is the new Premier Padel calendar for 2024

The new and most important padel circuit will celebrate 25 events in 18 different countries with the aspiration of internationalizing the sport.

From February 26 to December 22, 2024. These will be the dates covered by the new Premier Padel calendar. All five continents will be able to enjoy the best padel in the world in a season where the circuit, orchestrated by Qatar Sports Investments and the International Padel Federation, aims not only to eclipse the golden era of the World Padel Tour (2013 – 2023) but also to ensure that the sport continues to expand internationally.

Where does Premier Padel take place?

Premier Padel will arrive for the first time in countries like Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Venezuela. Additionally, cities like Acapulco, Genoa, Bordeaux, Rotterdam, and Düsseldorf will also make their debut, laying out the 20×10 court.

The inclusion of up to four events in the Middle East has diminished Spain’s prominence as the global epicenter of padel, as it will only host four of the 25 tournaments that will take place over the year. This represents a radical change compared to the previous season, in which Spain hosted up to 12 of the 34 events held between Premier Padel and World Padel Tour, 35% of the total.

Particularly noteworthy is the loss of emblematic tournaments on Spanish soil such as the one in Valencia at la Fonteta or the Valladolid Master in the iconic Plaza Mayor of Valladolid. Additionally, another padel powerhouse like Argentina will host only one event throughout the year as a result of a strategy aimed at bringing padel to other corners of the planet.

Premier Padel 2024 Tournaments: Major, Tour Finals, P1 & P2

In the next season, Premier Padel will organize 25 events divided into the following categories:

  • Four Major tournaments that will provide 2,000 points to the winning pair.
  • A Tour Finals competed by the top eight pairs in the ranking at the end of the season, awarding 1,500 points to the winning duo.
  • Up to eleven P1 events, a step below the Tour Finals, offering 1,000 points.
  • Nine P2 tournaments distributing 500 points to the title winners.

The season will begin in Riyadh with a P1 tournament that will serve to check the players’ form before competing in the first Master of the season, which will take place in Qatar from March 3 to 8, as happened in the previous two seasons.

The Ibero-American tour will return with tournaments in Paraguay, Argentina, and Chile taking place consecutively in May, before the Foro Italico in Rome hosts the second Master of the season from June 17 to 23.

In August, the circuit will have a 28-day summer break after more than half of the calendar’s events (14 out of 25) have been played, so from September 2, the second part of the season will begin, in which the final ranking positions will be decided.

In early October, Roland Garros will dress up to celebrate the Paris Major, and during that month, the Newgiza P1 in Egypt will take place again, a championship that was suspended last year due to its proximity to the armed conflicts between Israel and Palestine.

After two consecutive tournaments in the Middle East (Dubai and Kuwait), Mexico will host the last Major of the season before the players travel to Milan to compete in their prestigious P1. This will serve as the final test to determine which eight pairs will go to the Barcelona Tour Finals, which will put the finishing touch on the first season of Premier Padel as the dominant circuit in professional padel.
